Walgreens Transaction: Sobe and Reese's

Here is how I did for 1.20!

2 sobe life waters. Used 1 ESR coupon for 1.00/2 and 2 peelies for .40/1= 1.40/2 sobe lifewaters.

2 reese's whips. Used 1.00/2 Coupon= .69/2

Used 1.00 RR and paid a grand total of 1.20 OOP

now target has a deal on sobe 10/10 and a 5 dollar gift card and if you have peeilies you can end up getting them free but when I was there they did not have any peelies...

Harris Teeter Triple days this Thursday-Sunday!

I don't know how we got so lucky to have 2 of these so close together, but this Thursday is TRIPLE day!!! There will be lots of freebies out there so get those 75 cent coupons ready! They will triple those to 2.25!!! Remember though they only accept 3 like coupons and 20 coupons per day per customer. I know I will be making at least 2 trips!

Harris Teeter Deals with this Sunday's Coupons

Just at a quick shop Sargento Cheese is BOGO until wed. They are 3.69 for 2 or will ring up half price. The Artisian Sargento are also BOGO at same price. There are coupons in this Sunday's paper for 50 cents off one artisian and 50 cents off 2 Sargetno. I used two of each coupon for 6 bags of cheese for a great price!

Also Chex Mix is BOGO and I used 2 50 cent coupons from this Sunday making each bag 50 cents!

Harris Teeter Clearance and Coupon Snag today!

Check out your Harris Teeter Clearance Section. I found Head and Shoulders, pantene, herbal essance, and suave products marked down. I also had coupons so I purchased the following:

1 bottle head and shoulders = .80
Crest pro health toothpaste and free full size bottle crest pro health rinse = .25

Homemade Chicken Salad

5-6 ounces cooked chicken cubed
1/4 cup chopped apple
1/2 cup thinly sliced celery
2 T. raisins
1/3 cup mayo
2 t. brown sugar
nuts to sprinkle

1. In a medium bowl, getnly stir together, chicken, apple, celery and raisins.

2. In a small bowl whisk together mayo, and brown sugar and pour over chicken.

3. Toss gently to coat.

4. Serve on lettuce leaves, sprinkle nuts of your choice over top. (i serve mine with homemade pitas)

Homemade Pitas

1 1/4 Cups Milk
2 T. olive oil
3 Cups Bread Machine Flour
1 1/2 t. sugar
3/4 t. salt
1 t. bread machine yeast


1. Place the ingredients in your breadmaker as follows: milk, oil, salt, sugar, flour, and yeast.

2. Select the dough cycle.

3. Once the dough is made let it rest for 10 minutes. I let mine rest in the machine.

4. Divide dough into 10 balls. On a floured surface, roll each ball to approximately a 6 inch circle.

5. Place on greased cookike sheet.

6. Brush each with a little oil and cover and let rise for about 30 minutes or until slightly risen.

7. Once risen, lightly oil the top again.

8. Bake in a preheated oven at 450 degrees for approximately 5-7 minutes.

9. Turn Pitas halfway thru baking.

10. Cool on Rack.

11. Makes 10 pitas.

Frugal Baked Spaghetti and so Yummy!

This recipe is so easy, yummy, and cheap if you get everything on sale with coupons!

Baked Spaghetti

8 oz. spaghetti noodles (I used Penne pasta I got on sale with a coupon for FREE)
1 lb. ground beef (I used 80 percent lean that I got on sale for 2.65)
1 t. minced garlic (I used garlic powder because that is what I had on hand)
1 26 oz can of spaghetti sauce (I used Ragu which was on sale for 1.25)
2 Cups Cheese (I used italian 6 cheese blend on sale for 1.60)
1 T. oregano (had on hand)

Preheat oven to 350. Prepare noodles and drain. Brown meat with garlic until no more pink is left. Combine spaghetti sauce and oregano. Add meat. Grease a casserole dish and layer sauce, noodles and cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes).

Total Cost for 6 servings of Baked Spaghetti = 5.50
